    Research conducted by Laszlo and Bairstow suggested that children are unable to master their writing skills and proprioceptive-kinesthetic ability (the response of joints to the movements performed by fingers) until at least 6 years of age; but various simple tasks can help in early determination of impaired writing skills. For example an inability to color within boundaries or the inability to build blocks suggests a sluggish proprioceptive-kinesthetic capacity.

    Laszlo suggests that assessment of such children in second standard is very helpful in reaching to a diagnosis to establish if the child needs therapy or mere lifestyle modification is enough. Occupational therapy is helpful in all such children as the trained therapists can identify and diagnose improper pencil grip reflex earlier than the healthcare providers and advise therapies for treatment.

Because of this, they were free from the diet-based health problems many people today have.

    Even today in remote parts of the world, there are still tribes of people that are hunter-gatherers. They live off the land in a similar fashion to our ancestors. These tribes of people are practically free from most of the common health problems of our generation today: cancer, diabetes, arthritis, and heart disease.

    With the rise of the agricultural period, issues of tooth decay and iron deficiencies started to rise. The hunter-gatherers didn’t have these issues. So why is it that they are healthier than the rest of us when they lacked modern medicine, modern shelter, or other modern conveniences? They don’t have refrigerators to keep food for longer periods of time, and their genes aren’t any different from the rest of us. It’s because of their diet.

    These days, you don’t have to worry about hunting, fishing, and gardening to follow the Paleolithic diet. Although if you like doing those things, go right ahead, you might even save some money.
